With a real name of Chun-Chin Wang, Koyama Toshitaka was bored in Kaohsiung in 1981. His work "Existence. Another Vision" won first place in Shin Kong Mitsukoshi International Photography Exhibition in 2009. He then went to Gunma Prefecture in Japan to study photography, holding solo exhibitions since 2013. In 2014, Wang won four bronze medal and two honorary awards in Prix de la Photographie, Paris, and two honorary awards in the 2014 International Photography Awards. Wang started his journey of photography from capturing random images, attempting to make out what kind of images might be loved by each person, eventually established a solid foundation for photography. In 2011, he went to Japan to live and produce his creative work, which is also when he named himself Koyama Toshitaka. After he came back to Taiwan in 2012, he was influenced by Lv Rongchen, an oil painting artist who once lived in France for 20 years, and begun to put his focus and other art forms outside of photographies. He transformed figurative images with surrealism, making breakthroughs in typical photography with a painting-like method that portrays modern mindsets.
